What is the difference between a Socilogist and a counsellor?
A Sociologist might think differently from a counsellor about an issue like suicide. Outline the differences between a sociological point of view and a counsellor point of view about suicide.
Usually a sociologist has a a degree in sociology and might work in the private sector as a teacher or for a large corporation.
A counselor must have a minimum of a masters degree in either psychology or sociology and also be licensed specifically to do counseling.
I'd just like to add to the above answer and say that also, a sociologist focuses on the groups. They study groups in society, while a counselor is one-on-one.
