    its a type of bird. we have them in florida they love the beach.

    It's a shore bird! I live on the water and every year a pair of them lay eggs in our drive way. We have to rope off the part of our driving area for a few weeks as not to disrupt their nest.

    It's a bird that lives on the coastline. We get them down here where I live in the UK

    All previous answers are correct.   It is a sea bird about the size of the average gull, though generally a lot slimmer through the body, with rather long, skinny legs and a fine straight beak (for pulling out worms from the beach I suspect)  From memory, grey in colour on the wings and top of head with white chest.    Nope, I don't know much about birds, this is simply from observation.   You see them in Australia, New Zealand as well as, quite obviously, those countries already mentioned.
