Which planet is the only one to rotate from North to South?
The answer is Uranus, probably because in the early days of the solar system it got tilted on to it's side by a collision with another planet. Instead of pointing 'upwards' (as we would describe it) one pole points towards the sun. Another planet - Venus - is orientated similarly to the Earth and all the other planets apart from Uranus, but Venus is also a bit unusual in that it spins in the opposite direction, (east to west instead of west to east) again probably because of a collision in its early history.
