   I would go back to the Tudor Era and meet Anne Boleyn and King Henry VIII. Possibly warn him that he's about to make a big mistake marrying her, but that their daughter will be the greatest queen England has ever seen.

   I know you are looking for a deep, inspiration answer--but I would go back in time and see my dad in 1959.  He died when I was 8 and there is so much I want to know, or my mom in 1966 before she died.  After being a parent, I have so many things I want to ask them about their experience and their lives.

   I have seen my Mother ( one of  few memories of her) taking water from the well........
   
   I have seen my Grandmother, makeing potash for soap, renedering lard, carrying wash water,  butchering her most favored cow, plucking her hand fed chicken,
   
   I have seen, first hand, the hardships or their lives................while my own is push button, computer decicided or dictated..........delicate or normal wash..........
   
   
   My Grandmother done it ALL on a washboard................ I have SEEN this........the carrying of boiling pots of water, to be mixed with "lye soap".........
   
   
   I have seen the yesterdays........................I have lived them............I have heard my Grandmother give her THANKS for running water.............no , air conditoning, no refrigerator, no freezer, no automatic washer..................................just for running water
   
   
   I am blessed..........YES, blessed to know how it once was, and to know how to survive without....... 
   
   I would go back to the "wagon train".........be a cook, a washer woman............I would know, first hand..........why my Grandmother was thankful...........I would do this.............
   
   I would not seek greatness, I would not expect to dine with kings, ( in the modern day........I am not comfortable there), I would not expect richness..............no, I would be a simple woman...........cooking for you, as you forged our country, mined silver and gold.   I would be the woman in your corner, as you made our way.
   
   This, is what I would do, in my dreams.
