Why did the Russians never get to the moon during the space race?
Some people are not so sure that Americans actually did that. May be it's just a make believe and no one ever visited the Moon, it was just staged. What do you think?
Probably because they did not have enough technological capabilities to perform such a feat. Besides, since the United States had already done so, why would they do it? It had already been done. They lost. So, why would they spend unneeded funding and resources to something that wouldn't really matter? Besides, visiting the moon might seem threatening to a country it was in a cold war with. The only reason that there has never been a permanently established moon base, though highly plausible, is because any country to do so would be a threat to the world. With the possibilities of ballistic missiles (missiles that leave and re-enter the atmosphere to increase their velocity) on earth, what if there were missile silos built on the moon? Soviet Russia would have most certainly done so; they put them on Cuba didn't they? So to prevent any tension, the Soviet Union avoided any moon related space missions. Besides, they just redirected their funds into military expansion, in the areas of naval development and nuclear abilities.
Oh and Home Girl. Of course the moon mission happened. What are you retarded? There are countless photographs, satellite images, video, and physical evidence of moon matter to support that particular mission. And, what about all of the other Apollo missions, huh? They were obviously staged. Or else we wouldn't have in our possession so much scientific data about a moon we have clearly never visited.
The ignorance of some people just amazes me.

We reached the moon...why not Mars? Or one of the moons of Jupiter that -- I heard -- that could support life. Is there no money for serious research on how to build a ship that can reach past the moon...? With all the technology advancing for phones and computers and so on -- why can't we explore...

Will another man (or woman) step foot on the moon during our lifetimes? The last man to step foot on the moon was Eugene Cernan. His boot touched the moon on December 11, 1972. Incredibly, that was almost 40 years ago!
