Where does the sea water go when there is low tide?
Additionally, where does the extra water come from when it's high tide?
It goes to the other side of the world for a visit. After a short stay, it comes back. Actually, it doesn't go anywhere. The molecules don't travel, the surface of the ocean is warped by the pull of gravity.
To the same source where it comes from. Water volume never changes. Its distribution only changes. High tide in a place means that there is low tide in another. It is the same as if you have a rope. If you tract it from one end(high tide), the other end will follow(low tide).
