Well a simple question required a simple answer, but apparently my answer of "Guzel is turkish for beauty' ... is to short, really now, how long does my reply have to be when the question is a yes or no answer. I would love to fluff up a answer for you and sound all super smart, but alas, I know nothing of European languages and dialects and when you start to look into the turkish language, well ... yeah ... entirely to many dialects for me ... time to test to see if this is enough words. Incase my answer was lost in this mumble jumble of words ....

Guzel is a turkish word for beauty.

Thanks for this short/long answer smile We knew it meant beauty / beautiful in Turkish but were surprised to meet a Russian girl named Guzel. It's probably spelled differently but anyways, would be interesting to know if the Russians adopted that word or if it's coincidence!
