Are we headed for a major, global economic collapse?

I'm not talking about just some little recession-- I'm talking about a major, movie-grade apocalypse followed by a new dark age reminiscent of Mad Max. Could something like that even happen, or are we too advanced as a global civilization?

It will take some major changes and planning on those of us who live on this beautiful planet to avoid this downward spiral.

Doubt it, although I believe the EU needs a huge reform. If we look at recessions in the 1980's, we had the same feel of the end of the financial market, but we came back strong.

far from it... especially now... corporations are making profits, people are spending what they have, companies aren't afraid to fire the old and hire new people and people are less afraid to leave their jobs if it makes them unhappy... all this keeps stimulating the economy, and that's all we need
