Should politics be allowed in High School and College?
It is not about knowledge or awareness. It is about forming party based unions in educational institutions. Student strife on political issues, union election, loss of term hours and days due to student unrest - is it healthy or deterrent to the society?
Politics, as regards political parties and Ideologies, should be discouraged in high schools. But the case should be different for colleges. Also we must not forget the compulsory politics that has to do with internal school politics.
Politics should stay out of a high school...only unless it is for updates and in order for kids to learn more about our country. Don't throw in union stuff into high school. why unions cause problems in this country.,...why force it into a high school??? College should be a platform for politics.
Thank you all. Yes, I too am of the belief that party based politics should not be allowed to school children but awareness of the political and economic history seems a necessary part of adulthood, and college.
There is already politics in the schools and it leans to one side. Students who don't lean left are punished in many ways. They are humiliated and even forced from the program. Their indoctrination will last for at least two generations.

Do you think people should have to display an understanding of politics before being allowed to voteI don't mean an in-depth understanding, just a basic one of how government works and what each party/candidate stands for.
