What do you think about artificial insemination of orcas at SeaWorld?
At SeaWorld, orcas are artificially inseminated. Why? For entertainment purposes. Whales don't live for a very long time in captivity and of course they want to be sure to have enough "in stock" for the future. Orcas are not (yet) an endangered species due to human activities so the argument that they are doing a good deed is not valid in my eyes.
So it is more fair to the animals to produce them artificially than to take them from the wild? Where is the logic there? The only ones that benefit are humans because it requires more resources and money to take them from the wild. If it were cheaper to hunt them in the wild, humans would choose that option of course. I asked this question to see what others have to say about this and I don't think it is wrong to voice my own opinion on this subject. Everyone is welcome to have their own opinion on this, and you have read mine.
