Enjoy yourself (but study hard!)..... keep busy with LOTS of activities.... study everything and anything that piques your curiosity.... don't feel compelled to claim a "major" until and unless you are comfortable with doing so......
I disagree being active on campus shows your involvement with the school. This is a chance to meet people with the same interests. While your academics are important, they could stress you out. Unlike high school, you really are not escaping the school environment. Where you go to class is where you live and hangout. You pass your English building on the way to the store.
The best advice I could give is to try everything! Do not be afraid to go out and meet people! There will be days where you have no homework or your just sitting in your dorm bored listening to everyone else having fun.
ENJOY YOURSELF! For more advice, you can visit my profile and read college related articles. Or anyone can message me with questions
