My MemoriaI Day for the past two years have been spent relaxing with family, phoning relatives who have served in the military, substituting old flowers with fresh ones on the grave of my deceased father who served in the Navy, watching memorial services on TV, and eating some delicious barbecue cooked by a cousin who is retired from the Marines.
Family and friends are getting together to cook and eating and just enjoy each other. Because we live where there there is a military base close by and one family member works with an army wife...we put the word out that anyone who didn't have family in the area or anywhere to go would be welcome. So far we have 4 people joining us....3 soldiers and 1 soldier and her husband. We are all looking foward to meeting and talking with our new friends.
