Should we keep investing money in NASA and the Space Program?
With all of the problems that we currently have - health care, skyrocketing fuel prices, etc. - does it make sense to keep shoveling billions of dollars into a program that really gives us little more than bragging rights (e.g., first to the moon)?
It is a positive move for investing money in NASA and the Space Program. We are human who is always looking for power, pride and show. But, we should remember that it does not cross its limit. Therefore, when we are going to invest money in NASA and the Space Program, the basic amenities of human life should not be overlooked.
If you think that the only thing NASA does for us is "bragging rights" then you are terribly misinformed.
-Filtered water
-Insoles for shoes
-Scratch resistant lenses (eyeglasses)
-Worldwide communication (via satellites)
-Invisible braces
-Ear thermometer (as opposed to that damned metal thing that use to get jammed under my tongue...)
If you don't think we should put money into NASA, then you should vow never to use any of those things again - and yes, that includes your cell phone.

I've just read that NASA checked on a hole in an asteroid that they shot an 800lb bullet into a while back, that made a dent in the asteroid about the size of a football. Does this agency serve a purpose or should they...
