School admission age for children?
My niece was born on April 07 and a friend's son was born on Nov 07. I recently heard that even though they have an age difference of 7 months, they cannot be in the same class. While my niece will be admitted to school this year, my friend's son will start studying in school from 2013. With a difference of 7 months why will they study in different classes. I am confused, can someone please help
They have to have a cut off somewhere. In young children a few months can make a world of difference in maturity level. So they may be only 7 months apart which is no time at all in an adult's mind, it is huge in terms of a child's level of maturity. Your niece will already have been age 5 for 5 months when school starts. Your friend's son would only be 4, not turning 5 until Nov. It really makes quite a bit of difference in what each of them is capable of learning.
