Why are men more likely to overestimate their intelligence?
Why is it that men are more likely than women to overestimate their intelligence?
i honestly didn't know we did. if it's true then i guess maybe i'm not a genius, darn. if it is true, it's probably because we , by tradition, are expected to know a lot. my kids are always asking me what things mean, how things are done, who so and so is etc.
Can't say I've ever found that they do, as a rule, although there may be a few exceptions.
I think that that might be old school simply because men used to be the bread winner and fixer of all things, but that's not true now. If they try to do that now, they're just trying to impress and should be careful, because they may be called on to prove it! Women have come a long way.
