How long do crickets generally live for?
I have had an adult cricket in an enclosure for several months. He is a very rowdy creature which I love hearing at night.
Many field crickets only live around 10 weeks due to the onset of winter. However, it really depends on the species of cricket. Mole crickets, as an example, typically live around one year. If your cricket is in an enclosure, it won't have to deal with the extremes of changing seasons or predators, so will most likely live longer than average.

There is a cricket in my house the size of a Monster. I am scared! He/she was in my bathroom at 2:00 am this morning. I put on my shoes and got the broom and attacked. It has quite high jumping...

Would you be willing to eat a bowl of live crickets for $50,000?
