I think it was a ray of hope into an otherwise bleak news cycle.
may be it of some fanciful thoughts...i take it in different perspective...for some hope to shift over the place of no/less pollution and a better scope for life.....so yes, i see the rover worthwhile!
There is no doubt that space and all the planets, is fancinating stuff. And yes I love hearing about them.
But I do wonder if the billions spent on this stuff could not be put to better use. But then I wonder that about a lot of money we seems to quander on what are frivlious items when you consider the state of the world.
Really you could argue against any expediture of money that was not essential.
Besides maybe then will find something really useful in space; not in our lifetime or the next twenty generations but sometime.
