What is Table Mountain and what makes it one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World?
Table Mountain is a flat-topped mountain looming over Cape Town. When the clouds roll over, it looks like a huge table adorned with a white table cloth. Maybe one of the reasons it was voted one of the seven natural wonders of the world is the fact that it is home to one of the most species-rich biomes in the world, the Fynbos (quite literally fine bush!) biome. Fynbos is endemic to Cape Town and surrounds and is absolutely breathtaking in the spring! But going back to Table Mountain, one can cable car or hike up to the top to view the city from an entirely new perspective!
