How can I break into science journalism?
I'm a teacher considering a career change. Degree in biology. Any and all advice please!
Have you thought of trying to write your own science-related blog? This might be a good vehicle to report and comment on science in a way that's different than the informational format you use here on HubPages. It would give you good practice in this style of writing and, if you obtain a large readership, could be used as leverage in applying for future journalist positions.
Also, you might think of taking an online or night/part-time class in Journalism to learn more about the field. If you do this and perform well in the class, the professor may be a good resource for feeling out a new career.
