"Life's what you make it." Is it?
Somethings in life are never yours. You never get them no matter how hard you try, because destiny plays a major role in one's life, and destiny might not have what you want on its list. Therefore I do not believe in this saying. What are your views?
I agree with you. There's always a big role of destiny in our affairs. But however small we're to perform it's on us and our free will. So I don't believe the two extremes; "Man makes his own destiny" & "We do nothing, all is destiny". It's somewhere in between.
Yes you're right. But i guess hard work has a greater weightage here. It's 70% of your effort and 30% destiny. Though the 30% has greater power than we think. Much greater.
To place "everything" in the hands of "destiny" is to deny one's personal responsibility. With all due respect, that to me is an excuse--and a poor excuse, at that--for failure. Your life is what you make of it. If you do not get what you want out of life, that's on you.
