Is our destiny already determined from the day of the birth ?
That's the question, isn't it?
I suspect that destiny is determined for many...but that, having the power of choice, select individuals regularly rise above their "destiny pressures" to chart their own courses in life.
To answer this question it really depends on what you believe in. I believe in god and that he has a plan and that everything is playing out as it should. Some horrible things will happen and some very good things will happen but in the end will meet our fate together depending on each persons choice.
I would have to disagree with most of the answers given. Emerging physics seems to suggest that our future (and therefore our destiny) is created only moments ahead of time with respect to our present. Therefore, our future only exists a very short amount of time before it becomes the present and is governed by what is occurring right now at this very instant. Of course, if the variables of the present change, so does the immediate future. This theory was put forth by a female physicist. I can't recall her name at the moment. If I find it, I will post another answer.
Yes. It is written down in our destiny when we are born.
But you have 35% choice to change your Earthly Luck based on Feng Shui though 65% will not be able to make any alteration.
So this is where Feng Shui comes into play to change your fate.
Even if you do not believe in Feng Shui, by doing simple things like changing the landscape or arrangement, why not try it?
I would say yes because in the bible it says that God knew us while we were still in the womb before we were born and since God knows all things past present and future, it makes sense that what happens in ones life up til the day we die, that God knew the outcome of our lives before we were ever born.
There are two force in work to determine a person's destiny. External enviorment and internal enviorment. External Enviorment is your surrounding circumstnaces, internal enviorment is stuff you do yourself, in other word your own action, e.g. how hard you work to make a better life for yourself, waste away all the money you got, manage to find a way around difficult situation etc.
The combination of the two determine your destiny
Destiny is a choice not determined by birth, that easy. There are two choices that you have to make, and those choices have end results, and those choices dictate your destiny.
Deu 30:19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:
Two choices.......choose wisely, dont try explain it away.
I believe that there are the drums of ink which are left by our God ;to write about our destiny ,When we pray about something.
nothing is predetermined, nothing. life is what you make of it. there is no cosmic force that decides or determines anything and there never was. that's the problem with people, they have this need to believe in stuff like this and it makes us dumb.
YES! even before that, before we were conceived in the womb. God says he set things in motion.
Destiny sure is made when we are born.
BUT, we also have the choice to change it by our decisions in life.
God knew our name before we were even conceived in the womb and has a plan for each and every one of our lives.
The verse says, “Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.” Jeremiah 1:5.
I believe in choosing God, in choosing a spirit-filled life, and in choosing His way.
And when you do is when you will experience the depth of your true calling, your purpose and your destiny as God sees it and has planned for you.

If God is omni present and knows the past ,present, and future, then why would he test us when...he already knows the outcome of our actions?

Assuming that our own soul (equated with our _unconscious_ by CGJung) decides on the details of our earthly life circumstances (e.g. your race, eye/skin/hair color, the house where we live, the choices that we make, e.g. what color of shirt to wear today, etc.) before we were even born into the...

Is our destiny in God's hands or do we actually have free will, being that God knows all?

To what extent do you shape your own destiny, and how much is down to fate?
