Should not there be better solutions to such matters as gun rights, the economy, medical needs?
Can you recall some events that bring about a "throwing out the child with the bath water" approach in solving it, and actions without careful thinking of the causes?
1. The right to bear arms...shall not be infringed. This the law. The Constitution is clear. The Federal Government can not, legally and without the proper amendment process, change that. Anything that the Federal Government passes against the 2nd Amendment without amending the Constitution, is a direct violation of their oath to uphold the Constitution.
2. The economy is a mess BECAUSE of the Federal Government's unconstitutional involvement in business and it's overreach into the individual States. The Federal Government is limited by the Constitution and the enumerated powers given to the Federal Government and by the further limiting of the 10th Amendment. This has been, sadly and to our detriment, discarded by Washington without regard for We the People or the several States.
3. Medical needs would be better served if the Federal Government was out of the picture and the free-market was actually allowed to do it's job. By mandating the new laws at the federal level we will, and are, seeing increases in cost and reduction of providers. There is no Constitutional enumerated power granted to the Federal Government to force citizens to purchase any product or service.

It has been said that "Immigration is a federal issue and we can't have 50 states making 50 laws." but we have 50 different rules for voting for the president which is also a federal issue.I'm not asking if you are for or against SB1070. I'm asking if states' right of self governing...
