When did you find yourself? Have you found yourself? What did you want to do and have you done it?
I have been doing a lo of thinking in regards to this topic. I am interested in your thoughts and experiences. I am 27, married, and in the process of an adoption to become a first time parent. I feel as though I am still finding myself. Do we ever find us? Our purpose? Is there an age limit? id I pass mine? Let me know your thoughts.
I married when I was 19 and had my first child when I was 30. I have to say I believe I found myself and what I was meant to do when I became a mother. It was without a doubt the greatest life altering experience of my life. All the other things in my head became unimportant.
However, once they were grown...it all came rushing back, that restless feeling of needing to find a purpose and the core of who you are. I'm not sure I know yet - and I am 61.
Have I done "it"...no and it isn't going to happen. But I have a great. loving husband, two beautiful grown children, a couple of loving sons-in-law, and two fantastic grandchildren that fill my heart so I am happy.

I feel like I'm losing me. And I don't know who's taking my place. Or how to get myself back. Or if I should even try to hold on to me?
