What was the greatest "mountain climb" story to you?
The phrase "mountain climb" depicts a person striving against incredible odds to place his personal flag pole on the top. Napoleon rising from Corsican peasantry to ruler of Europe. Robert Downey Jr. beating drugs and depression to conquer Hollywood. Steve Young beating the shadow of Joe Montana. Which story do you find the most incredible?
I think of what Hank Aaron had to endure while chasing Babe Ruth's record. I can't imagine the difficulties of trying to do your job, while dealing with racist letters and death threats the whole time. From what I've seen he's hasn't shown a lot of bitterness from that.
