To those who grew up in small and very small families, what perplexes you about people who
grew up in large and very large families?
I came from a small family only a hand few left, when we count ,that is some family members had no children and some only had one or two on my mothers side. I did help to carry on our name sake with three sons Three daughters, So my answer is I look an think it is a wonderful thing when you see big families come together , and really you should never be alone, Some one will always be there when you need love, and a hot meal. and remember someone in your family might look like or act like you, what a relief if you think you are the only one!
I find small families closer and more connected to each other overall throughout adulthood. Large families tend to be more scattered and apart, especially large extended families who often DON'T know each other. Small extended families are WAY closer
You are correct ,in your view but I have experienced both sides ,and I can say yes small is more attentive ,then large, but by me experiencing both sides,I was still able to apply my positives to my large family which help them to pass it on.

To those from small families(1-2 children per family), do you believe that people from largefamilies (6 or more children per family) have an underlying animus toward you for one reason or another?
