How can you reduce crime rates through architecture?
Firstly improving communities infrastructure through workshop, design, construction and routine maintenance and by engaging the youths to be a path of these program!
I don't believe architecture will be effective if you are looking for a fast fix. Over several generations, I could see architecture having an effect, if the political situation stays stable during that time and a broad spectrum of people are exposed to architecture in their education. I am referring to the art of architecture. I don't think the business side of architecture helps reduce crime at all, since most of the decisions are actually made by owners and developers and city officials. Money is the driving force in those three.
