Is anyone here Jewish or had family that went through the holocaust
Hi I am very passionate about the holocaust and feel a deep sympathy for all Jews who suffered this terrible fate . I have read and research a lot on the holocaust as I deem it a very unfortunate and pitiful situation. I will be very happy to talk/interview at least one Jew about their Family history in Europe during the Second World War, how are they coping? , do memories still haunt them etc.
Not Jewish but had family members held in secret labor camps in Germany for protecting Jewish people. As German we are tribal people so religion is of little consequence to tribal matters.
Okay I see well there were a few nice German people that actually hid Jews during that horrific time. May God bless you Family that hid them. I am actually doing a Basic German Language Course online. So Gute Morgen to you.
Guten Tag. Actually, our family did more than that and have received the highest honor for civilians from Israel. My family name is Bosch. My other family name is Walters but we have been here since the 1600(s). We just go back and forth.
My great-grandmother was from England. However, she had family that perished during the holocaust. She was in America and they stopped writing to her. That's about all I know. I only remember her from when I was about 3 years old. The smell in her kitchen still lingers in my memories. It was a delightful aroma from her baking cookies all the time.
LadyFiddler; I am answering this because I, too, am very passionate about the holocaust. There are a couple movies coming soon to the theatres regarding this awful tragedy, and I plan to see both of them. I have read many books written by survivors of the holocaust. I think one of the authors lives in Buffalo, New York, a few hours away from me.
I will NEVER understand how one man could get thousands of soldiers to treat people the way they did.
I am not Jewish. My father was in WWII but I think he was a cook. I know very little about my dad, as he died suddenly at age 35.
I hope you get many responses to this question. I SO understand how you feel. Maybe it's because I am of German descent: Maiden name is Nagle. I should probably do a back research. Blessings, Sparklea
Hi Sparklea I think just like you about this tragedy some people count it as history but my heart goes out still for jewish survivors and even those who suffered such horrid fate. Maybe we can become good friends my email is firstname.lastname@example.org.

Why will no one read my book?I've written a fantasy book and want to publish it in October, but whenever I ask someone to read it they conveniently disappear or are suddenly too "busy" to read it! Even if I only send them the first chapter they never get round to reading it. ...

Personally, this is a cruel thing to say. but my husband has his head bent on it. He says that because the Jews were the ones who crucified Christ back then, that the holocaust was karma. He is not excusing hitler for the evil he did. but insist on believing that punishment on the Jews for...

By Paul FarhiWhen you have a group of religious leaders taking out an ad in the WSJ demanding that your boss (Roger Ailes)tell you to STOP with the Nazi comments, do you stop? Or do you gleefully continue with your on-air blasphemy? Washington Post Staff Writer Wednesday, January 26, 2011; 11:40 PM...

Do you have to be Jewish to write about the Holocaust?I have a book of three award winning shorts - each takes a different aspect from the Holocaust; the uprising of the Warsaw Ghetto, a love story between a German soldier and a prisoner, and the escape from Sobibor. The book, "Trio of...
