What does Nelson Mandela mean or represent in your life?
He might have left our midst physically but his memory lives on in our lives. To more, he is a symbol of compassion, forgiveness, and perseverance. Few could have come out of what he had to go through as strongly as he did. What does he symbolize in your life?
I am in aw of the the knowledge of him, the world will never be the same again simply because he showed up on the planet. For 27 years he was wrongly imprisoned simply because he wanted equality for his people. Can you imagine 27 years for a non-violent crime/man. And when his jailers set him free he held no anger but forgave them. I would like to share some of Mr. Nelson Mandela's words:
" No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin, or his background, or his religion.
People must learn to hate,
and if they can be taught to hate,
they can be taught to love,
for love comes more naturally to the human heart than it's opposite."
Now you tell me what do you think of a man who has been so wrongly treated and yet he still has love for his fellow man. He has taught me that love is the greatest weapon.
Inner beauty, fun, Life in all its fullness and exuberancy. Intelligence and patience.
Duty, sincerity, courage and an indomitable will. Fortitude. Empathy; forgiveness and acceptance of mistakes in a humble spirit. Fortitude; diligence .. an understanding of a purpose given by God and well-fulfilled.
