What are the 10 ways that the oldest child in the family is THE MOST ABUSED, MOST RESENTFUL, and
UNHAPPIEST in addition to being treated THE MOST DIFFERENTIALLY of all his/her siblings by his/her parents?
Oldest children in multichild, esp.large families are held to THE TOUGHEST standards. They often have NO childhood nor adolescence, having to be adults as soon as possible. They are tossed aside by their parents, left to raise themselves & siblings. In fact, they are THE REAL PARENTS of their families. They are also PARENTIFIED children. They have it THE HARDEST, they assume family responsibilities earlier than other siblings in the family. They have NO INDIVIDUAL life.
I wouldn't say the oldest are the most abused, Im the 2nd oldest and Ive been tossed aside when my older brother and 3 younger brothers got all the babying. The reason why is because I have a different dad and my step dad treats me like crap and its horrible. I had no life growing up, I had to babysit my brothers, I had to be the parent of my younger siblings and I was tossed aside the whole time
