There was a time when I thought I knew but then, all of a sudden, I got the idea that the purpose I was living for was no longer meaningful for me. I moved on thinking that I would be able to do what I really liked only to realize it was not clear to me. I admitted this to myself and just do what I think is good not just for me but for others as well.
The One who gave us life can define its purpose. Since we have been created to worship the Creator hence the purpose should revolve around this very fact. That is worship the Creator and invite the attention of other created beings to worship their Creator. Everything that exist here obeys the laws set by there Creator, hence that is there purpose of existence. So the purpose of life becomes clear with the proper utilization of inner conciousness and also looking at the disciplined things around, on and above the earth and amidst the vastness of universe. Everything conveys a clear message that the purpose of existence is just to worship the Creator.
I was asleep - in a good way, I hope - and one day in 1982, I woke up. I read a book called The Path: Autobiography of a Western Yogi by Swami Kriyananda, and I was transformed. I found my Spiritual Teacher two weeks later and I have been pursuing the spiritual life for 32 years.
I get joy in striving to love God, and in service to my fellow humans - my brothers and sisters - mankind. Deep and profound question. In Love and Light.
Everyone has a purpose in this world it's just when will it come alive. Thank you for leaving your input.
My deepest gratitude for your loving kindness. Much joy and Light for this festive season and beyond. salaam!

He could have done it in four or five days if He didn't insist on making most heavenly objects thirteen billion light years distant. Just showing off?

I was wondering about gods and goddesses. I've done a lot of research but this topic still escapes my grasp. Is there a certain god or goddess that should be worshipped? Can whichever god or goddess you worship, be changed according to needs? Example; someone who worships Artemis, godess of the...

There have been a lot of discussions on Christianity, atheist and Bhudism. Anyone interested to take another look at Islamic teachings? What differentiates Islam, Jews, Christtian and Bhudist? What are most of the conflicts about? What makes someone Godless?
