Should euthanasia be classified as 'dignified death' or 'murder' ?
In most places euthanasia is a decision made by the person who will be dying and therefore it would not be considered "murder" in my opinion. Murder is a crime that takes place against a one's will.
In the U.S. many of our states have the death penalty for criminals or commit certain crimes. However the state officials do not consider themselves to be (murderers) for executing prisoners.
The intent of euthanasia is to make one's transition less painful.
If it is obvious that if a person is of sound mind and reasoning and it is their decision to end their lives in a dignified way, then I feel strongly that they should be allowed to do so. No others should be permitted to foist their opinions and/or religious beliefs upon a person who has made up their minds to end their life. It is THEIR life in this particular body. It is they who have the right to make the decision and no one else.
Such a decision in itself would be very difficult to make. Once made, that is, once that person has decided it is in their and those around them (if they take this latter aspect into consideration) it should be made as easy as practicable for them to 'exit' this world.
