    What is a communist?

    I was reading about the black panther party and I ran across the term. What does a group of Russians have to do with the black panthers?

    Communism is a form of government described by Karl Marx in The Communist Manifesto. Basically, Marx described Communism as the opposite of Capitalism. He suggested that a Capitalist government would eventually polarize with the top 1% (Bourgeoise) the population hoarding all the wealth. Then, he suggested there would be a revolution by the common man (Proletariats) and a Communist government would commence where all work and goods would be evenly distributed. Communism is thought to be a utopia, but a true Communist government has never, nor can ever exist.

      What does that have to do with the black panther party? Utopia? Isn't that where we have land and start laws everything from beginning? Why would that be scary to start from beginning? Why was everyone afraid of communist?
