Nope, I needed my cell phone because it was the only way to contact me. Also, I took my education seriously so I didn't let my phone become a distraction.
I'd say it could be for some- but that is true about just about everything. Managing distractions is a good skill to learn at some point in your life- hopefully before you get to college. Still, it is never too late to learn.
It depends on the user.. If you use it excess by ignoring your work then it is dangerous.. But at the same time if we use it wisely,only when needed then it is very beneficial for us. Technologies are advancing to meet our need, for benefit of us.. But as i said, it depends that we use it or misuse it..
