   To all parents of small families(1-2 children per family) out there, why do parents of large & very
   
   large families (6 children & more per family) denigrate, disparage and even berate children from small families, using negative and untrue associations, never mentioning the good about children from small families while extolling the so-called virtues but never stating the negatives about children from large families?

      You are so right peachy.  The parents of large/very large families criticize children in small families all the time but children in small families end up educated & successful while their children end up uneducated & impoverished. Preach, pe

   I have two kids and have friends with anywhere from one to eight children.
   I haven't seen disparagement of small families by larger ones.
   I have received comments from those with large families, "you're a good mom, have you considered having more?"
   I have seen disparagement of intentionally childless couples, especially "child-free". This has come from those with one kid to those with eight, assuming the child-free is selfish, immature, or just missing out.
   And I have seen disparagement of those with large families, assuming some combination of low intelligence / high immorality / poor planning / extreme religiosity.
