What makes FEAR the MAIN reason people believe in illogical precepts such as
superstitions, religions, and conspiracy theories?
There is a natural "approach mode" of thinking concurrent with an "avoidance mode of thinking. When the fear mode is stronger than the approach mode, fear wins out. People think illogically sometimes when they have too many things they approach with fear.
