Have you heard a boom sound in your state?

I'm in California, the boom sound vibrated the floor and windows, and then there's a rolling effect after the boom sound. It last happened in January 2016 early in the morning approximately 9 a.m.- 11 a.m. Pacific Standard time.

I experienced that 5 times in two hours. the local news said it was planes hitting the sound barrier. A sonic boom. I just do not believe it. We have an air force wing a few miles a way and I have to turn the tv up when they are flying. I never heard one that day.

They would likely only go supersonic at a high enough altitude that you wouldn't hear the engines. They'd get way too many complaints otherwise, especially if they did it multiple times in a populated area.

I would hear them take off and land. They have to build altitude to get that high. I am so close to the airport that I hear them start up.
