As a child, did you prefer the company of older children, younger children, same-age children or
adults? Regarding your preference, what is your particular birth order?
When I was a kid, all the kids on the block played together regularly though there was an age range there. I didn't mind if they were older, younger or the same for the most part... though being invited to something by one of the older kids was usually seen as something of a badge of honor, but the kids I was closest to were about my age. These were more the kids I played with beyond just the neighborhood group thing because we happened to all be there, these were more the kids I kept in touch with, would have sleepovers with or to places with.
