What can be done to stop plastic pollution which is damaging the environment at an alarming rate?
The world produces 300 million tons of plastic each year but currently only 15% is recycled. 12 million tons finds its way to the oceans where it destroys marine life and changes the ecology. Birds eat plastic debris which gives them a feeling of fullness so they don't look for food and starve to death; plastic has also been found in fish. More needs to be done to reduce the production of plastic which is toxic to all living things. Although many conscientious consumers do their bit to dispose of plastic responsibly, not enough is done by plastic producers to find a safe, suitable alternative.
You know what is really sad about this question? It is the same with intelligent people producing zero population growth. Stupid is the human disease that is now causing these issues. When my family uses plastic we use, collect, reuse, reuse and recycle. And we really do not know anyone who does not do close to the same. In public schools down here coastal desert way they actually teach it.
We are about out of plastic bags. I will pay them ten cents a piece to get a couple for the recyclable garbage in my cars. But normally I get paper to reuse and/or bring my reusable bamboo bag.
Yes we have a problem here with plastic. And the problem is "I don't give a shit".
So we do it with government to force the idiots. I do not like that but it is life.
Are you a minister of sermons cussing with no shame. I am truly Shock Eric !
K&T what is a cuss word? You mean like George Carlin? Slang for human excrement -- like plastic bags?

What do you think about plastic surgery done on girls so they look like dolls?I don't think it is even ethical to make plastic surgery to make someone look like a cartoon character. I would question mental health of those girls, but if it is already happening and it is, it's time to stop and...
