When I First Joined HubPages, Religion & Philosophy were Big Things

   I first joined HubPages back in the 2010. This website has changed my life, and for this very reason, I come back to this website again and again. The intellectual resources of this website is inexhaustible!
   
   So when I first joined HubPages, Religion & Philosophy were big things in the forums, and in hubs also. People were writing about these two things. And also discussing about them in the forums.
   
   Time changes. And HubPages has become a very different place. Religion & Philosophy have subsided. Now Politics is the big thing. Do I like it? No! But I still stick to this website. I love being a hubber. :-)

   You would rather writers in the topical forums discuss other things other than politics.
   They argue and fight, all the while hoping they can change the world by influencing others with their measly posts.
   
   Well, why would this be true all of the sudden? Because we are the brink of loosing our country. Our democratic republic is falling, as most democratic nations end up doing.
   
   It seems to me that People cannot leave well enough alone. They have to fix and fidget and never be happy with the way things are, even though not perfect, but maybe a "more perfect union" should be just that, a little imperfect.  A perfectly fine nation as it is.
   Leave it!

   I think with the pandemic we need encouragement from the scriptures as well as prayers. I love reading God’s word daily because it gives me a source of comfort during these critical times. For us to have the freedom to discuss religion on HubPages is wonderful.  In certain countries like Russia and China some religious segments do not have that freedom.
