Man has always claimed that the world is round. When I see the gigantic shape of the planet from earth space, it does look round so I GUESS it is. But despite the laws of gravity and all, it just seems like everything should drift of the planet and into the void of space. What's your take?

    My take.

Is this could be a long discussion involving alot of science and Bible bashing.

    I can see it coming...

Many theories on gravity exist...the one I find most intriguing is that gravity is a "Push" rather than a "Pull".

Several scientist have considered that space is pushing us.

This belief has concieved ideas of new propulsion systems for future space travel.

We should ask Albert E.  smile

Albert E. says that gravity cannot be distinguished from acceleration. In the respect, the Earth's surface is "accelerating" up towards us.

There is no gravity on earth.
    The earth sucks.
I think it's in the Bible some place...

Doesn't matter if it's flat or round.  What can you do about it?  Worry about things you can control.

mr. daydreamposted 13 years agoin reply to this

Don't you think I know that I have no control over the structure of the planet, duhhhh? I have the right to be curious about the unknown if it intrigues my interest. Apparently you don't give a f***, but that's your opinion. And I'm sure there's a dozen of things that peaks your curiousity that I probably don't give a f*** about, but that's my opinion. What kills me is people who respond to forums (THAT THEY DON'T HAVE TO RESPOND TO) and don't have anything constructive to say about the question being asked. Why don't waste your time on commenting on forums that you actually have an opinion about, and stop making wise-ass suggestions on what I should worry about!

Are you 10 years old? roll

Or do you have a problem with free speech?

You have just as much right to ask this pathetic question, as anyone has to respond to it.

Just because, you did not like what he posted, doesn't mean, it wasn't of some value, which it actually was.

Asking meaningless or foolish questions, such as the one posted(by you), is to waste time thinking about things that do not directly affect/effect a person who lives in the here and now.

If you couldn't grasp that from his statement, then obviously, you are only interested in things that matter to just you and not to other people. So, how is it to be so selfish? hmm

        1. mr. daydream profile image60
mr. daydreamposted 13 years agoin reply to this

          To Cagsil:

I guess you CAN say whatever you want by this being a public forum and all, but if you attack the question I'm asking (and sometimes it's not always that I don't know or have an opinion, but to open minds and initate conversation for those interested) I'm also going to exercise MY freedom of speech rights, and trust me, you're not gonna like what I have to say.
When I read forums that I don't have an opinion about, I don't verbally attack the arthur because I don't agree with what they're saying (to each his own I guess). I don't just talk s*** to be talking it, TRUST ME and not a bully! But if I'm being challenged, I get into that GOING that mode and fully-heartedly respond. You can call me immature if you want it what you what, I don't care, you don't know me, I don't know you. But if you don't like my questions, or my mentality, I STRONGLY would advise you not to leave your cheapshot taking comments, especially when I'm not talking to you! Now naturally you have the right to say something akin to what you just said (again this is a public form), but unless you want to be the 1st hubpages hubber on my on-line s*** list, I would advice you to not make an enemy outta me!

  11. Cagsil profile image75
    Cagsilposted 13 years ago

Making an "enemy" out of you?

You're too funny. It is YOU who would make an "enemy" out of yourself and believe it or not, being on YOUR "sh!t" list, isn't a scary proposition nor is it relevant to this forum post or for that fact is relevant to what you think or talk about.

You spout off at someone, and when someone returns the same crap you spout off with this garbage.

Go sit in a corner and spout off some "hypocritical" B.S., and cry while you're at it.

But, what you will not do is make IDLE threats and expect them to be believed.

So, either way, ignorance is truly bliss. Have a great day! roll

    1. mr. daydream profile image60
mr. daydreamposted 13 years agoin reply to this

Your level of ignorance is just as high as what you're CLAIMING mines is. And as far as threats go, no actual threats we're made, obviously you don't know what a threat is. But anyway, I through responding to this FOOL. Check your e-mail b****.

As for your email? It was not read and was discarded, because you're obviously have a problem.

What is that problem? I will let you try and figure out on your own. Unfortunately, it is again obvious that you will no doubtedly struggle with the thought required to ponder what I have said and with no doubt you will fail to realize.

Oh well, another lost person trying grasp things their mind isn't ready to handle.

    Again, Have great day!

      Fellow hubbers:

We all have the right to free speech, but there is a line between free speech and slander, a technique that the above mentioned hubber (Cagsil) has resorted to, which I WILL NOT TOLERATE reguardles of popularity or clout. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, or to post whatever questions they want. Now, I'm sure we've ALL (me included) ran into hubs and forum questions that we felt didn't make sense, but we ARE entitled to speak our mind and post questions for those who are interested in answering them.

And since everyone has the right to free speech, I ASSUME you have the right to make rude comments if you don't agree with what an author published (such as Mr. Cagsil did) and acknowledge it as you just excerising your freedom of speech rights. And then from there, I (or whoever the insulted hubber is) has the (freedom of speech) right to defend themselves... I know, a very tiring cycle, which is why I stopped feeding in to Cagsil's foolishness, cause I knew as long as I responded to him, he would've kept responding until he had the last word. I'd much rather spend my time and energy thinking about my next hub, or my other writing projects, not responding to a fool looking for a sparring partner. So as the old saying goes, If you can't say nothing nice, try not saying nothing at all (especially if you can't take what you dish out).

      Til' my next hub...
                           DAYDREAM BABY!
