    the predecessor to Skynet?
I know the argument is that it is so large, yet look at what size the first computers were.  It is possible that the computations could eventually take place in an electrical field and this would enable the size to be infinitely smaller.

Our machines will ultimately be limited by their physical hardware. We have made extraordinary advances in software and programming, but we can always build a machine with a physical kill-switch. When we design machines in the future, it will be important to not design them to restructure their hardware.

        Dear surfrider

Are you not being carried away a bit ... Hardware does, what its meant to do ... machines ... Artificial intelligence ... is a dream, like the Strings ... but it can earn you a lot, if you can convince, that it is possible ...
