I also gae up pretty quickly on the language as it is so close to the little Spanish that I know I just got terminally confused
If you want to learn Chinese however - we run a summer cultural exchange holiday in Guilin China that is the most economical holiday in China and is open to any different nationality or language - you can always swap other languages while learning Chinese - we have English Italian French and German teachers here.

How many languages do you know and in which country do you live?I frequently hear comments about how people in the United States generally only know English, whereas in many other countries people generally know multiple languages.

Why are so many people saying "Speak English only"? It makes that person sound so racist! USA is supposed to be a melting pot of different cultures, races, and LANGUAGES! Shame on anyone who says "Speak English only"!
