It is about a young minister who's plan is to bring electricity to an English village during the late 20th Century. This threatens a local tradition which involved a candle capable of delivering Christmas miracles. There is a local legend that an angel visits the quaint hamlet of Gladbury every 25 years to touch a candle made by the local candlemaker, to give one family a Christmas miracle. You will have to view the movie to see what happens next.

Christmas for a Dollar
America is in the midst of the Depression and the Kamp family is struggling, as a result of Mrs. Kamp's death about a year ago. Mr. Kamp has bills that are piling up. The oldest, who is eighteen does what she can to take care of the family. The seventeen year old wants to work, but his father disagrees with his decision. The rest of the the kids are not expecting any Christmas presents until the father receives a dollar in coins. This sends a message and shows the real meaning of Christmas.

This is based on the book Christmas Oranges. It is about Rose who was left as a baby on the steps of a Greenwood Orphanage, where the loving Mrs. Hartley, takes someone in along with the other children. The children enjoy a home like environment.
But then she has to leave the only home she knew and transferred to Orphanage that is totally the opposite of what she knew. It is very strict there and not much love and attention demonstrated. But she is grateful for the few good things there, one of them is Joe, the kind brother of the headmaster. He brings an orange for each child to hang on the Christmas tree

This is a beautiful heartwarming, family movie that you will enjoy. This is about George, a 13-year-old boy who is facing his most recent dad's death. He now lives with his grandparents on their Kansas farm. His mom moved to Minnesota to cope with her grief. While he was living with his grandparents he helps out in the farm, friends, an also has a dog he befriends to help him take on what lies ahead of him. It is going to be an important Christmas for George as he learns many things about life, family and responsibility.
The Christmas Miracle
A blizzard and road conditions causes eight strangers to meet up and to seek shelter at an old church and there they spent Christmas Eve at a church. During their time with each other, they learn things about one another and from one another. They tell stories about their lives and what they are going through from the blizzard. Through a terrible situation, they endure, work together to make miracles happen in their lives and help each other. It is a truly movie and story. It shows the real meaning of Holiday Season.

On a her way to the mountains, Mary once again came across the lodge. This is where she has spent Christmas as a child and the memories comes back. The Lodge is totally run down. There are a lot of work that is needed to rebuild the lodge, so with some encouragement, she takes up the project of restoring it and meets people along the way. This is a wonderful, beautiful story about the power and ability of helping others. It will make you want to stay at a lodge during Christmas.
