Oprah is coming to Australia in December- The Oprah Winfrey Show will show live from The the Opera House, Sydney.
Already re-branded The Oprah House. Yes that's right as Australia inhales at the thought Oprah and her entourage of film crew and 90 of a selected audience travel with her. will beam a live show from the forecourt of the Opera House to the hundreds of millions of viewers worldwide.
To the Australian Tourism Industry such publicity is expected to be Gold.
Industry insiders already claim that the three million dollars expense so far has already been recouped with the unpaid advertising for the trip.
As well as inspiring many of her faithful followers in Australia it is hoped that such an event will promote Australia talent in what ever format currently takes onto a worldwide market.
People like Australian Celebrity Cook Curtis Stone has now become the face of Australia largest retail supermarket Coles in part due to Oprah exposure. With Curtis 's promotion of ten dollar family meals at every Coles supermarket as well as every television advertising slot. Curtis himself credits his success with appearing on Oprah-and the doors that were opened for him following such an appearance.
*Updated. Well online YouTube friend Jewelchic (below) was visited by Oprah over the weekend when she was in Melbourne. Jewelchic has made a YouTube video of the event.
Today Tuesday the 14th id the first big day of screening two episodes of the Oprah Show in front of the Operah House which will be screened next year in the United States & Worldwide. I can tell you it has been like a religious event similar to when Billy Graham came many years ago. Her disciples have flocked and congregated around the Opera house placing the area into total security lock-down. The usual Australlian stars (suspects) have made an appearance on the Show Nicole Kidman Hugh Jackman & Russell Crowe. Apparently Hugh Jackman arrived on set absailing down on a wire from one of the sails of the Oprah House.

WHEN Curtis Stone left Australia to chase his dream of fame and fortune in the US in 2007, the celebrity chef had prepared himself to toil away for years for that all-too-elusive break.
Leaving behind a blossoming TV career on the ABC cooking series Surfing The Menu, it was a leap of faith to try to build a small place for himself in one of the world's biggest media markets.
Then, two years ago, Oprah Winfrey's Harpo Productions office called. Arriving at the mogul's Chicago studios that first time to help her in a quirky search for America's best sandwich was both surreal and a tipping point, Stone says.
"I remember arriving at her studios and when you walk down the halls there are photographs of her with world leaders, former presidents, you name it, she's met them. And I was thinking, 'What the hell am I doing here?'."
The newly appointed Federal Tourism Minister Martin Ferguson has been able to pull off this coup and is now rightfully gloating in anticipation of the glow and flow on effect to tourism and interest in Australia. Film Star John Travolta the Mascot for Qantas and travelling Ambassador is said to be the one to fly them across in a Qantas Jet. Early plans indicate she will host a show from the Sydney Opera House (already re-named Oprah House). As well it is expected she and her entourage of loyal fans will visit famous landmarks such as one of the natural Wonders of the World the Great Barrier Reef and Ayers Rock.
Here is one of my freinds who has met Oprah several times
