Why is Arrogant And Ignorant Matt Damon so Over Exposed in the Media?

Updated on January 17, 2012

Matt Damon and his Wife Lucinda

Why is Matt Damon so Overly Exposed?

So one can hardly look an the internet or turn on the television without hearing of Matt Damon these days. All of his films are being rushed into the main stream media so he can collect his points and large sums of money and even Barack Obama spoke of Matt Damon and you have to wonder why Matt Damon, an actor and benefactor of Africa would be so spoken of in the United States. Does he do anything for the people of the country he resides in? Has he achieved any great accolades in the last decade? Has he even served on his childrens' PTA. Besides being and actor what exactly has Matt Damon done that makes him worthy of so much attention in the media?

Now I remember when the actor John Travolta's eldest son Jet died and his movies were played on the television during that time. I didn't mind. I actually believed we all should have Mr. Travolta in our hearts and minds as he had to deal with the grief of losing his son. It made sense that Mr. Travolta's movies be played over and over again during that time period.

But why Matt Damon? Has he lost a son? Does Matt Damon even have a son? Has he invented a new renewable energy for which we should all praise him? Is he a Nobel laureate? Did he finally go back to Harvard and earn his acting degree? How hard could it be to get an acting degree from Harvard? Has he directed? I think the answers to all of the aforementioned questions are no.

Sadly, without an ounce of leadership experience or foreign policy experience I think Matt Damon thinks he is going to buy his way into politics. It is the old pay to play trick in a year when Barack Obama isn't even sure if he is running against Mitt Romney or JEB. But money doesn't make the politician but experience, and Matt Damon has absolutely none. It would be both unwise and infeasible for Matt Damon to run and if he were to win it would bring the entire electoral process into question in Florida which is already riddled with charges of fraud. Now I appreciate the fact that Mr. Damon wants to buy his way into politics but I would like to suggest a more humble path to leadership for him. Start at the bottom and WORK!!!. There is no lateral move from acting into politics.

And no one will ever confuse good actors with good people. To quote Nietsche' is to guarantee you are a smuck in American society. DC is in bad enough shape without having inexperienced actors pretending to write laws and represent people. Pretending is for the camera and the stage and I don't even think Matt Damon has done Broadway so politics is definitely out of his grasp.

Maybe if Leonardo DiCarpio were to run we could all be on board but not Matt Damon who at best is morally questionable, has avoid taxes through African Charities and off shore banking schemes and has not served in leadership positions in this country or to his brethern. A few PSA doesn't make a politician.

Maybe with a few years of serving in local and state politics Matt Damon might even be able to be considered as a serious candidate for a state office. Matt Damon can try to run but he should be prepapred to hand the victory to anyone he runs against.

Matt Finish What You Start

Do you think Matt Damon should finish his degree at Harvard before considering running for political offfice so he can be a better public servant?

      Hi Grow,

While I love my friends to the North you are an admitted drug dealer and consumer of illegal drugs. Of course you think Matt Damon is a good politicain. You are wasted. And as a self professed drug addict/dealer it is highly unlikely you are able to gauge anyone's intelligence but I could see where you could be so confused as to think Matt Damon is intelligent. Great endorsemnet for Matt Damon from a self professed drug dealer and addict.

Maybe the drug dealing pot smoking British Columbia crowd is listening to Matt Damon and I would vote for him to represent you but not me or Florida. We are a bit more serious here and even the White House has disagreed with legalizing Marijuana. I would be careful if I were you. With your admission of being a drug dealer and addict you might find yourself in jail or rehabilitation or even worse.

Yeah, Matt Damon is good just like drug dealers and addicts.

Your opinion would be so much more appreciated if you were an admitted addict and criminal. But you and Damon have a lot in common.

I would love to see Matt Damon debate Michele Bachmann on live television. That would be a real treat .. I can't get enough of Matt Damon, I wish he got more exposure, he has a lot of intelligent things to say.. and clearly people are listening!
