Reduce the amount of commercials to something that made sense instead of listening to as many as 20 commercials in a single hour. I've heard a lot of people talk about the lack of variety of music on the radio. The reality of it (except for those few exceptional people) is most people really do like the hit songs.
Long tail theory doesn't work terribly well in commercial radio. Radio stations want to have people listen to them so they, like we do on Hub Pages, can sell the traffic in terms of ads. Most stations have forgotten they have to be local and pay attention to what their listeners want...rather than what their corporate owners want.
