Honestly what do you think of these modern day stars/singers, the music, dress code etc?

Would you allow you children or yourself to take pattern after these singers/stars . I mean dress like they do and sing the senseless songs that mainly refers to something sexual?

I don't really care, about "modern" music, it's irrelevant to me. I stopped paying attention to music trends in the mid 90s, when the grunge rockers came in and wiped all my beloved hard rock/metal bands off the musical map.

Now I live in a self contained pop culture bubble surrounded by the stuff I dug in my teen years (roughly 1984 to 1992)... and I like it there, I'm not coming out.

I know of teens and young adult women who think dressing like this is appealing.  They think it makes them look beautiful.  I'm talking about excessively short skirts and low-cut blouses.  Less is not more when it comes to clothing.  Just my opinion.  I have a lot to show off and I don't dress like that.  I think it's more fun for someone to use their imagination!

LOL! Well that's true...... the thing is they think if you ain't get your sexy on your not in the game sooooo sad. It's like a 1/4 yard of cloth for a pants and they pay so much money, they are advertising sex for satan when they dress like that.

I am so glad that I neither have a daughter nor son who would degrade themselves in such a cheap and disgusting way as some of the so-called 'singers' do today.

But, I think the fact that some of them are on stage almost wearing nothing but a smile, is to detract the audience's attention away from the vocals and  the fact that they can't sing, dance etc. The 'music' for want of a better word, is, in a nutshell, crap! The so-called dance moves are almost the same as what monkeys perform in the jungle!!

The revolting behaviour on stage or on video - and many of the girls are worse than the guys - give the impression, not of being talented, but of being debauched and narcisstic. Basically they will do anything for money and to keep their faces in the limelight. It would seem that, to them, being modern and cool means bringing the human body and sex down to the level of sleeze.

What I will say is that I really admire the singers/musicians who get on stage and sing/play their music without any need to degrade themselves. These are the folks with real talent and class, and their music will be remembered long, long after the sleezers are forgotten.

NO, I hate most of the music today, the fashion "trends" of sexualized drapery, and the disgusting and putrid behavior of so called role models.  People who do good things for others, people who save lives, people who give back to the community, people who are educated...those people are role models, not some tweenager poptart who thinks it's okay to ride a wrecking ball naked (and has nothing to do with the lyrics of the song!).

Dragonflycolor that is so true , the people that need recognition do not get it but these little whimps they have on the stage singing crap and selling sex wholesale is more popular and worshiped than GOD. Isn't it outrageous, ridiculous....PATHETIC!

People like the stuff that they watched/listened to while growing up. Anything after reaching adult hood is deemed obscene, crap or silly. Every generation does it. The stuff of today is no better or worse than the stuff of yesterday. It's all about perception and perspective.

I can't say its the same this is worst vulgarity is now a norm, nakedness is rampant. Check singers like skeeta davis who use to sing way back watch her dress code. Its nothing like today besides technology, implants etc have vastly increased

Singers have always pushed the boundaries of vulgarity. Elvis's hip shaking was once obscene. Redefining the boundary doesn't mean singers are doing anything differently.
