If you had the opportunity to perform a duet with any musician who would you choose?

Even though I lack the talent of singing I would select Tim McGraw because no matter what I sound like people will be looking at him and not even noticing my hot mess! smile

I don't know about a "duet" but if I ever complete my time machine, I am going back to CBGB in 1974 and ask if I can front the Ramones for a song or two.

Loreena McKennett would be my first choice. I could only hope her most hauntingly beautiful voice would drown me out.

I love music so there are so many to choose from, but, even though I can't carry a tune, I'd want to sing a duet with Morrissey.  I'm guessing I'd be shamed off the stage rather quickly.

It would be as a stand in for Stevie Nicks of Fleetwood Mac. Those haunting tones and her sultry voice gets me every time I hear it. There was a budding musician many years ago who was looking for someone to join his band to fill the female lead and he asked me if I'd be interested. At the time, I was too insecure to try out. Wow, I wish I had given it a chance. It could have been so much fun...

Yes, me too, Peg, on Stevie Nicks.  I listen to her CDs a lot on my hour commute and sing away.  Of course, I am alone in my car, so I do not torture anyone LOL.

I think it would be Carol King or early Elton John (before he got all spangled). When I sing to their records, I can keep up with them and maintain their pitch.

Linda.......I don't know if he would even consider it...but for sure, I'd love to sing with Josh Grobin.......In private!   Wouldn't want to embarrass either of us!

Well. I know this isn't a duet, but I would have loved to have sung with "Peter, Paul and Mary". Why? Well apart from loving a few of their songs like 'Puff the Magic Dragon" and "Leaving on a Jetplane"...just consider their name....Peter and Paul were Jesus apostles and Mary his mother. My name is John (another apostle)...Peter, Paul, John and Mary...has a ring to it smile

There are a lot of performers past and present that are great, the one that comes to mind at this time is the group Lourdes,  add guitar. And not necessarily just duet but to write, compose and perform a song . I really like music that has a lot of sonic depth structurally  not necessarily just hard rock. A song that can go from subtle to abrasive, back to subtle.
