I love this cover of Top of the World. He was discovered on YouTube and has a record contract with Interscope Records.  Can't wait to hear his first album.

I've been listening to T.Rex's Zinc Alloy & New Riders of Tomorrow albumn which I haven't listened to since the late 90's when I was still experimenting with hallucinogens on a regular basis. Have to say the albumn hasn't lost any flavor as far I'm concerned despite my sobriety and clearheadedness of late.

Thanks Zelkiiro, I sampled these, liked a few, but most of the tracks are too long for me. I can see they would be useful and add to the drama and excitement of gaming though. Too bad the music is not attributed. Seems like the artist is getting ripped off here.

Zelkiiroposted 10 years agoin reply to this

These videos are mostly extended 30 minute versions, but the songs themselves are about 1-2 minutes long before they loop. Except "The Genesis." That really is 8 minutes long.

And now for one of my favorite songs in anime, "Voyage" by Inori, as featured in the series Fantastic Children. I love just about everything about it--the haunting vocals, the rich orchestral backing, the melody, the tone...everything is just right.

There's also another version of the song called "Voyage ~Meguru Toki no Naka de~" which means "within the (revolving) flow of time." And there's also a version of it without vocals, which was particularly powerful when used in the TV series.

Swooping in once more to mention a fantastic tune from the fantastic JRPG Bravely Default: "Serpent Eating the Ground"

Complex, intense, highly melodic, and of course, appropriately dramatic for the game's original context. Awesome all the way through, but especially in the final minute and a half.
