Jim Nabors, who starred as Gomer Pyle on The Andy Griffith Show and on his own sitcom has passed away in his home in Hawaii. He was 87.
What are your memories about him? His funniest moments?

I would have to say him yelling "Shame, Shame, Shame." There is also "Gooooooly Sergeant Carter."

      She-zam!!!

Gomer Pyle, is one of the funniest situation comedies of 1960's TV. Jim Nabors was a superb talent with a velvet voice. His passing will not go unnoticed.

My fondest memories of Gomer Pyle/Jim Nabors? Too many to relate. I was most fond of the fact that he was a good ole Southern boy. His character may have exhibited a slow intellect, but like most Southerners, he was inherently brilliant, always quick to see the problem and work it out. I loved the way he pronounced "gahw-lee" ("golly" to non-Southerners).
